Hi and thanks for visiting my shop!  My name is Brittanee and I'm a self taught artist among all mediums.  I grew up in Cheyenne, Wyoming and in 2010, I moved to Colorado seeking change (and mountains!).  In October 2015, I met the love of my life and a year a half later, said goodbye to the mile high city and moved to live my dream life with him in the heart of the mountains in Dillon. Together we are parents to our 5 year old rescue pup, Cinta and 2 fluff ball kitties.  In our free time we enjoy all things mountains - backpacking, camping, summiting, and snowboarding.
I've been an artist since I first picked up a crayon and have dabbled in everything from painting to woodwork to ceramics.  I found a strong love for fiber arts in 2016 when I picked up some rope from a local craft store and made my first wall hanging.  From the time I graduated high school, I've craved freedom from the social norm.  I knew I never wanted to work the standard 9:00-5:00 M-F under someone else, slaving life away for a dollar. My dream has always been to work for myself, doing something I truly love to do, on my own time - because making a LIFE is just as important as making a LIVING.  So, having just graduated college in the summer of 2017 with a degree in Business Management, I decided it was time to take some direction in my career and thus, this little business of mine was born.

I find inspiration in anything and everything.  Sometimes ideas will come to me at the most random times, like while I'm driving or laying in bed.  And sometimes the inspiration is all in the branch, of which I've personally foraged.  While many of my designs can be replicated for more than one home to enjoy, I think its cool to know that when you purchase my art, you'll never have a piece exactly like someone else's because each branch is different from another.  Living in the mountains, I'm incredibly fortunate to have an unlimited supply of these raw and unique materials at my fingertips.

One of my favorite quotes reads,
"When you buy something from an artist, you're buying more than an object.  You're buying hundreds of hours of errors and experimentation.  You're buying years of frustration and moments of pure joy.  You're not just buying one thing.  You're buying a piece of a heart, a piece of a soul... a small piece of someone else's life."

I want my art to be more than just space filler.  I want it to mean something.  I want it to bring joy to the hearts and souls of others, and life to the walls of homes everywhere.

Thanks for stopping by to see what my hands have created, and for supporting a small business!  -B.
